Water Testing

Why should you do a water test?

Primarily a water test is conducted when there is a dug or drilled well supplying the potable water. There are a number of items and variations of tests that can be completed such as: Bacteria, Iron, Hardness, Fluoride, Ph, Arsenic and many more. See the pricing page for more information on our packages.

Who should be testing the water?

This is one of my primary concerns with water testing. Why? Well because anybody can do a water test. It can be you, a realtor, or myself. There are certain steps involved that must be followed and are often overlooked. Any time you are having somebody do a test these are some questions you should be asking.

What lab are you using?

Do they outsource to a third party lab for testing?

How much time will it take for them to get the sample?

Where are you taking the sample from?

How long will it take to get the results?

If the person doing the testing doesn't know the answer to these questions or doesn't understand the question altogether....you may want to think twice.

Let us help you.

At S&K we believe in doing it right the first time. We know how long the water should be run, where it should be taken from and that it needs to get to the lab within 24 hours. Why 24 hours you might ask? If you are testing for E. Coli. or Coliform Bacteria they need to have the sample within 24 hours or the results will be inaccurate.

We also know how stressful and costly it can be purchasing a home. You have to get a home inspection, you have to pay an appraiser, and this or that. It adds up fast. Our water test prices are very competitive and we get results within 3 business days.
